Do you enjoy working in a warehouse environment? How does working in a climate-controlled environment sound (air conditioning)? Ideal candidates will perform duties related to the shipping of products to ensure accurate order fulfillment and the receiving of materials ensuring proper distribution. This is a full-time on-site opportunity in our Kansas City Distribution Center.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill orders for both domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements.
- Document carrier inspections, both incoming and outgoing
- Pull orders based on packing slips, ensuring correct product and lot numbers, check order for accuracy and pack properly according to company standards.
- Make sure orders are packed per customer packing/loading requirements.
- Assemble, pack and ship displays as needed.
- Make sure all packages are in the staging area prior to carrier’s arrival to ensure packages are shipped out the same day as packed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, breaking down boxes throughout the day.
- Keep work area fully stocked at all times. Notify Shipping Team Lead when supplies get low or are depleted.
- Receive, log, and distribute deliveries.
- Receive returns and transport to proper location for processing.
- Assist organizing approved finished goods and supplies in the warehouse.
- Assist with cleaning of the building, including warehouse floors and garbage removal, per the company’s cleaning schedule. Make sure appropriate cleaning logs are completed.
- Participate in physical inventories when they are conducted.
- Assist with other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be highly motivated and work efficiently.
- Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Able to work alone and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a daily basis.
- Able to lift and reach above your head on a daily basis.
- Able to bend, twist, squat and kneel on a daily basis.
- Able to stand for more than three hours at a time without a break.
- Must be able to read and decipher labels and lot numbers.
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time.
- Able to occasionally climb ladders.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to protective footwear.
