Accounting Specialist / Onsite in Venice
$25.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience) plus benefits
Monday – Friday / 8:30am – 5:00pm
Enzymedica, a worldwide leader in the enzyme supplement industry, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to be responsible for accounting and bookkeeping functions and activities related to the entry of transactions into the financial accounting and reporting systems. This position is onsite in Venice, FL so local candidates are encouraged to apply and will receive first consideration.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
- Two+ years prior experience required
- A valid Florida Driver’s License and proof of insurance is required for banking purposes.
- Experience in data entry and working with Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proficiency in the use of general office equipment.
- Advanced Excel skills required for forecasting, financial modeling and demand planning.
- EDI experience a plus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as required):
- Code incoming accounts payable invoices to appropriate account and cost center.
- Resolve payment, purchase order, or invoice discrepancies with vendors; verify credits due have been received and entered.
- Enter new vendor accounts in ERP and collect required paperwork (New Supplier Form, W-9, COI)
- Enter approved accounts payable invoices and prepayments.
- Coordinate weekly payments for vendors
- Scan vendor invoices to document management software and monitor for missing documents and incorrect indexing.
- Contact vendors to pay approved invoices with PCard on a weekly basis, enter payments in ERP.
- Handle all incoming calls for problems on vendor accounts.
- Research and enter verified credit memos for store co-ops.
- Evaluate and enter coupon reimbursement requests.
- Code and enter monthly expenses on outstanding corporate credit cards.
- Compile various revenue or expense tracking reports as needed.
- Create ad hoc reports for budget and expense tracking as needed.
- Maintain spreadsheet tracking Enzymedica’s vendor contracts
- Support A/R as needed with customer statements, collections, credit applications, credit memos, other.
- Adhere to all Enzymedica, Inc. policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
- Participate in Performance Improvement and safety initiatives, including job related and annual training(s), i.e., cGMP, SQF.

- Up to date knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable accounting computer applications.
- Excellent verbal, numerical, organizational and written skills.
